proenza schouler

anyone for a bit of chanel? with a twist of course. blasphemous, i know, but i rarely get excited about chanel, especially when it comes to tweed and this is about as excited i'll ever get. granted, it had that much needed grungy slant to it but proenza schouler grown-up feels a little like graduating and realising you're supposed to be responsible and mature but it just doesn't sit. the tie-dye is far more relaxed and something that i can more than cope with but i'd be interested to see how the tweed is received with the die-hard fans. thankfully the aztec jewellery, the fluorescents, the silhouettes and those contrasting details made up for it all, oh and i'm sure marie chaix had something to do with it.

definitely a grower, i really am torn between awe and perplexity. the bottom line? change is good, n'est-ce pas?
