always a sucker for an interpretation of anything 17th century (or anything historical for that matter) and a good old juxtaposition, i was hooked before i'd even seen the pictures. seriously, throw a ruff on any outfit and you've got me, and a raffia ruff? well...ok, hardly innovative but it worked and lured me into thinking that this was a somewhat more interesting collection than previous seasons. with regards to the clothes alone perhaps not, but where this collection really succeeded (aside from the raffia top and harem pant ensemble) was with the material contrasts in a positively wearable collection.
