why change a good thing? futuristic sportswear as usual. seeing sportswear as couture goldin has aimed for a more commercial approach this season in the hope of shifting more of the collection on the shop floor. dispensing with her signatures was not an option and neither should it be; it takes a talented designer to balance the two but goldin appears to have achieved it. sculptural luxe sporty body con knits in a soft palette but with occasional addition of more striking colours maintained her fresh and pure vision. cutaway separates and sheer/patent panelling enable the customer to team with jeans without forsaking luxury. ok, the photos really don't do the collection justice but apparently donatella wants the whole collection for herself. i personally can't comprehend why there were any difficulties whatsoever selling her previous collections....i know someone who'll willingly have them!
